Taste is a subjective matter, but a wine of quality is about more than just a pleasant taste profile. It is also about structure, balance, texture and many other factors that separate great wines from the good.
It is with these criteria in mind that our 11 esteemed panellists, for the 10th time, blind-tasted, judged and rated 180 top wines from 13 countries using a 20-point scoring system. This tasting took two trying days and thousands of glasses. Of these, 100 wines were identified as truly great wines which the panellists would personally get. Among these bottles are six outstanding wines which scored at least 18/20 points and are sieved out for their exceptional quality.
We hope you will enjoy our 2016 list, and may it lead you to more delicious discoveries in the world of wine!
