A highlight among Patek Philippe’s recently revealed eight new watches, the Ref. 5935A World Time Flyback Chronograph is the first stainless steel version of a Patek Philippe model combining a self-winding flyback chronograph and the world-time function. The increased case diameter of 41mm from 39.5mm gives the 24-time-zone display more space and greater legibility.
The latest edition of the self-winding Arceau Le Temps Voyageur watch by Hermès features a rhodium-plated dial with a mother-of-pearl counter. Set with 78 diamonds, the 38mm steel timepiece has a mobile hours-and-minutes subdial that can be advanced by a pusher at 9 o’clock. As it moves to one of the 24 time zones represented by the cities on the world-time flange, the time shown on the subdial also changes accordingly.
Following a black-dialled version, the Bell & Ross BR 05 GMT now comes in a palette on the other end of the spectrum. Housed in a 41mm steel case, the automatic BR 05 GMT White features a second time zone hand with a red tip, which points at the 24-hour scale on the flange. The ring divides the 24 hours into day and night with slightly different colours, so users know at a glance what time of the day it is back home.
The Royal Oak Concept Flying Tourbillon GMT 44mm by Audemars Piguet now comes with a new look. For the first time, the architectural-looking model is topped with a green ceramic bezel, which is matched with the movement’s green CVD-coloured inserts. Powered by the manually wound Calibre 2954, the titanium timepiece combines a flying tourbillon with a second time zone indicator at 3 o’clock.

Inspired by vintage marine chronometers, the Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Dual Time is distinguished by its thin, fluted bezel, small seconds and Roman numeral hour markers. Driven by the self-winding UN-334 manufacture movement, the 44mm steel timepiece features a 24-hour home time display at 9 o’clock. To show the local time, the central hour hand can be easily moved forward or backwards by pushers at 8 o’clock and 10 o’clock.
Panerai’s latest dual-time watch reminds users of the brand’s Italian origins with its moniker BiTempo (tempo means time in Italian), as well as the use of the word “Ore” (hours) at its power-reserve display. But you can travel anywhere in the world to appreciate the ease of reading the second time zone indicated by the blue-tipped GMT hand of the Panerai Luminor BiTempo, a 44mm automatic watch in steel.
Named after a world map created by Roman general Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa in the first century AD, the Montblanc Orbis Terrarum features a world-time display that simultaneously shows the time in 24 time zones. The 43mm steel watch features a rose gold-coated cut-out of the continents, while a guilloché-patterned disc beneath it features dark and light shades of grey to indicate night and day in different parts of the world.
