These days, the occasion, which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is also often associated with brightly-decorated chocolate eggs, bunnies and bunny-themed food.

Celebrate a cracking Easter as Bread Street Kitchen debuts its Golden XXL chocolate egg giveaway. Weighing a whopping seven kilograms, the edible gold-covered dark chocolate egg is a dazzling take-home prize for two lucky diners who order the Easter set lunch menu ($88 per person) at the Gordon Ramsay restaurant’s on 8 and 9 April.
The set meal features dishes such as British scotch eggs, grilled lamb chops and a meat-free toasted acorn squash topped with ‘Gordon’s curry around the world’. Save room for the restaurant’s all-time signature sticky toffee pudding.
The little ones can get occupied with a colouring contest, allowing you to enjoy the feast. Bread Street Kitchen’s Easter menu is available for lunch and dinner, while the two contests will run during lunch.

Afternoon tea is one of the best ways to spend a lazy weekend afternoon. Tablescape Restaurant & Bar is bringing that experience to homes with its Easter Afternoon Tea ($78) experience. The three-tiered takeaway comprises Tea Smoked Salmon Sandwich, Crabmeat Salad with Caviar Avruga, coupled with a flurry of sweets that include the Chocolate Fudge Mini Tarts, the Coconut Mousse in a Chocolate Egg Shell with Mango and Yuzu, and more. If you are up for Easter brunch with a view, head to LeVeL33. The Easter Weekend Roast comes with a mouthwatering plate of tender Slow-Roasted Australian Lamb Shoulder ($88) cured with housemade koji paste before being slow-cooked for 12 hours. The hunk of meat is accompanied by a stout glazeand topped with housemade chimichurri.
For those who prefer poultry, opt for the Roasted Australian Chicken($58). The chicken is first brined in a rich stout, then air-dried so that the skin crisps up perfectly when it is time to roast it in the oven. A rich, flavourful house-made chicken and truffle jus is served alongside the roasted chicken.
Both dishes are served with crisp red Australian cabbage, grilled asparagus, and fluffy hasselback potatoes. Complete the experience with the restaurant’s signature Basque Cheesecake, coupled with hickory wood-smoked raspberries and blueberries. Available from 7 to 9 April.

Breakfast gets lavish at Alley on 25, an all-day dining venue at Andaz Singapore, a boutique-inspired luxury hotel in Bugis. The Easter Lazy Breakfast buffet spread ($88 per person) includes a myriad of appetisers such as seafood on ice, sashimi, Avruga caviar with cage-free eggs, satay, roasted lamb shoulder, and gourmet sausages.
Diners also have a choice of mains such as saffron risotto with Avruga caviar and tiger prawns and shepherd’s pie stuffed with slow braised lamb, celeriac and mashed potatoes. Easter at Altro Zafferano means a brunch buffet ($138) of Italian favourites. It starts with unlimited portions of cold cuts, white asparagus, hamachi crudo, foie gras, and Alaskan king crab, followed by two pastas: fusilloni with Canadian lobster, and risotto with globe artichoke and Roman mint.
The main course presents a choice of lamb saddle roulade or halibut with stuffed zucchini flower, mugnaia, and trout roe. Conclude the meal with seasonal desserts such as chocolate mousse and blackberry, rosemary and spring berries parfait, and colomba Pasquale, a bread traditionally eaten at Easter.
