This year’s New Year’s Eve festivities are highly anticipated. For starters, the dazzling fireworks display at the Marina Bay area is making a comeback after a two-year absence. Unlike previous Covid-stricken years, movement restrictions have been done away and revellers can go mask-free and shout “Happy New Year” in glee.

From staycations, hitting the clubs to decadent feasts, we round up some stylish ways to ring 2023 in style. From all of us at The Peak Singapore, have a wondrous New Year!

Countdown 2023: 5 ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve in style
1. Indulge in a staycation

What’s a better way to start the New Year with a languid hotel staycation before the hustle in 2023 begins. What’s more, you can stay away from the crowds as you settle into your cosy yet spacious suite.

At The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, guests can lap up the stunning bird’s eye view of the fireworks at the Marina Bay area, which is making a return this year. Those who are staying at the Grand Kallang room, Grand Marina room, or Deluxe Suite can enjoy a complimentary bottle of champagne and festive amenities to help soak up in the festivities.

2. Hit the clubs

Start the New Year with a bang by hitting the clubs. Thanks to the lifting of restrictions this year, DJs from around the world are spinning at the Little Red Dot. At Marquee, renowned Dutch DJ and producer, Nicky Romero is set to helm the stage as guests dance the night away to modern electronic dance music. Over at Zouk, DJ Henry Fong will drive the crowd wild at one of the biggest year-end parties in town.

3. Eat to your heart’s content

If you’re not a fan of all the partying and drinking, usher in the New Year with food instead. Indulge your love for American classics such as Southern fried chicken and burgers at Yardbird Southern Table & Bar’s inaugural New Year’s à la carte brunch buffet. Menu highlights include Chicken ‘N’ Watermelon ‘N” Waffles, and pancakes. Diners will get a choice of an entrée and dessert. Yardbird will also be hosting a special Fireworks menu from 10pm to 12am on New Year’s Eve, with food galore.

Over at the other side of Marina Bay, Altro Zafferano, celebrate the special occasion with four or five-course dinner set menus with dishes such as live scallop with almond milk and Hokkaido sea urchin ice cream.

4. Catch the fireworks from vantage points

The dazzling firework display at the Marina Bay area is back this year after a hiatus during the pandemic. Enjoy the resplendent show with food at the restaurant and microbrewery LeVeL33. Located at the top of the Marina Bay Financial Centre building, it boasts one of the best views of the Marina skyline. LeVeL33’s New Year’s Eve Set Dinner menu (which is only available on 31 Dec) comprises Southeast Asian-inspired dishes such as a Sustainable Australian Kingfish Ceviche served with spent grain crackers, smoked salmon roe, pomelo and dragon fruit.

Another vantage point is Kinki Restaurant + Bar, where you can view the fireworks from its waterfront locale. Their New Year’s Eve Rooftop Boozy Package comes with the Rooftop Snack Platter — a sharing portion of bar snacks and two bottles of Moët & Chandon Champagne, a choice of spirit by bottle and three of Kinki’s signature cocktails such as their Earlgroni.

5. Say cheers with cocktails

If you prefer to spend some quality time with your friends and family, head over to Astor Bar, at The St. Regis Singapore where you sip on their collection of New York-inspired drinks. The Temptation to Celebrate cocktail, which is an invigorating concoction of blended whiskey, elderflower liqueur, fresh lemon juice and chocolate bitters is a fitting drink to mark the occasion.

Another watering hole to head to is Path Restaurant located at the Marina Bay Financial Centre. The restaurant is offering a two-hour free-flow Henriot Brut Souverain, NV promotion on 30 and 31st December. Diners can also opt for their ‘Flight of 3’ deal which includes a champagne, a white and a red wine.
