As more electric vehicle brands are entering the local market in recent years, electric vehicles (EV) are becoming more popular in Singapore.
Electric car brands like Tesla and Polestar have launched their petrol-free models in Singapore, and Mercedes has joined the fray with their recent EV releases. The Mercedes-EQ family — the brand’s electric vehicle subunit — recently launched the EQB, a fully electric version of the popular GLB SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) in Singapore.
A zero-carbon car, the EQB 350 AMG Line is the brand’s second all-electric model launched here. It is also the first and only seven-seater in the compact SUV segment in Singapore, with up to 1,620 litres of boot space, according to the Mercedes-Benz Singapore.
The EQB is also the first Mercedes model that can be reserved through an online reservation system by the car brand.
Claudius Steinhoff, President & CEO of Daimler South East Asia/Mercedes-Benz Singapore says: “The EQB is part of our ever-growing Mercedes-EQ line-up, and it stays true to the foundation that its siblings have laid by offering consumers luxury and efficiency.”
