Bentley centenary golf iron

Luxury motoring and the noble sport of golf go hand-in-hand. With the Bentley Golf Centenary Collection, you can tee off in celebration of the British marque’s 100th anniversary.

The limited-edition golf set takes its aesthetic cues from the new Continental GT, with details like club grips patterned after the model’s characteristic diamond knurling; as well as the a club head shaped like the car’s haunch exterior styling-line.

To mark the company’s Centenary, they’ve even designated a celebratory colour just for the occasion: a rich metallic hue named Centenary Gold that’s created by combining iron oxide-coated, superfine aluminium flakes with paliochrom gold.

While said colour will be available in details like contrast stitching in their cars, it also features in the Centenary Golf Collection — woven tastefully into parts of each club, head covers, and the golf bag itself. Other detailing highlights include the wood heads and grip-end caps, which are decorated with miniature replicas of the iconic wheel caps from Bentley’s EXP Speed 8 winning Le Mans car.

It’s not all bells and whistles too: the clubs have been manufactured with the same craftsmanship and technological-forwardness that luxury carmaker is known for. The irons make use of multi-material technology — a carbon fibre back and a titanium face — for balance, versatility, and powerful swings.

The set also comes with two wedges (52” and 58” loft), four woods (a driver, fairway, utility, and hybrid), and a high-performance putter that provides great support for off-centre strikes.

All these fits inside a handcrafted tour bag, with carbon fibre panelling woven in with said Centenary Gold, and a handstitched Centenary logo. Dare we say this will be the cause of some amount of envy on the greens?

The Bentley Golf Centenary Collection is priced at £12,000 (SGD$19, 988), with only 100 pieces available.
