When we talk about style, we often think about fashion, be it designer wear, coveted handbags or glorious shoes. In my mind, style has evolved to reflect a mindset, an attitude and a way of life. And so, in that tune, it may be naturally instinctive to embrace positive influences towards our health in the definition of style.

STYLE IS ABOUT CONFIDENCE
Maintaining a healthy and fit body boosts your self-esteem and confidence. Ever since Jane Fonda took working out to the next level, fitness enthusiasts have adopted trendy apparel for every kind of sport, including tennis, volleyball and yoga. Looking good and getting into shape undoubtedly makes you feel good about your body on the outside, as well as makes you feel amazing on the inside. This glow of confidence comes across in all the aspects of your life, at home, in the workplace, and when you are out with your friends.

BEING HAPPY NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE
People are more conscientious than ever about improving their mental wellness. Being physically healthy can influence mental well-being by improving our mood and encouraging happiness and excitement in our daily life. Exercise has been shown to release endorphins, a feel-good neurotransmitter in our brain that relieves stress and anxiety while inducing positive feelings of optimism and confidence. Staying healthy, both physically and mentally, is the key to living a happy and confident life.

STYLE IS ABOUT INSPIRING OTHERS
When you start feeling good about yourself, and it shows, those around you will be inspired to take better care of themselves and start seeking your advice on how you have succeeded in making the right choices. Living by example, you can motivate others to choose nutritious food, avoid bad habits such as smoking and encourage an active lifestyle. To me, style is about being a role model for others.

LOOKING YOUNG IS STYLE AT ITS BEST
By embracing a healthy lifestyle, you will inadvertently look and feel younger. The truth is, eliminating unhealthy food from your diet can clear your skin and reduce blemishes to make way for a softer, smoother complexion. Healthy daily habits do give you a more youthful appearance with shinier hair and glowing skin. Looking young is the desire of every modern style connoisseur.

STYLE IS ABOUT AGEING GRACEFULLY, TOO
With a healthier lifestyle, you will live longer. It is important as you age that your immune system is stronger, so you will suffer from fewer diseases and have more energy to enjoy the things you love. Detecting early ailments through regular health screenings so that timely preventive measures can be sought is part and parcel of ageing well.
