Visiting Casa Perfect New York requires an appointment online. Open to the public since March 2019, the historic townhouse gallery and home, dating back to 1901, is located in a charming, quiet West Village street in New York City.
It follows Casa Perfect Los Angeles that resides in a 1957 modernist villa that was once home to Elvis Presley and his family.

Spread over five floors and organised around a sculptural, honeyed English oak staircase, the interior spaces – including just one bedroom – were remodelled by renowned British architect David Chipperfield for its previous owner.

Today, the home is occupied by David Alhadeff, founder of The Future Perfect, a contemporary design gallery and concept store that offers a unique retail experience in a residential context.

“The most crucial step was finding the right space to bring the concept to life in an authentic way that felt true to The Future Perfect’s vision,” says David. “Casa is, first and foremost, about the experience. The shopping comes second.” At the entrance, visitors will find a pair of green Poltrona 008 chairs by Dimore Studio, a Mobile Chandelier by Michael Anastassiades, a coffee table by Marcin Rusak and an Eric Roinestad vessel welcome visitors at the entrance.

Far from a traditional showroom, Casa Perfect New York looks like a loft with spaces bathed in natural light, thanks to large windows on both sides of the house.
A tropical chandelier by Chris Wolston, a lamp by Piet Hein Eek and a Reinaldo Sanguino ceramic stool in the bathroom are some of the many other pieces displayed in context.

The designers, artists and manufacturers curated by David are a mix of established and new talents, including Collection Particuliere, Adam Pogue for Commune, John Hogan, Philippe Malouin, Chris Wolston, Chen Chen and Kai Williams, Reinaldo Sanguino and Marta Sala.

Thanks to its diverse cultural programme, the place attracts design aficionados and is also a platform for events, exhibitions, conferences and collaborations.
