With the vacation season just around the corner, Tom Ford is whetting appetites for the summer getaway with its new “Costa Azzurra Acqua” (English: waters of the azure coast) fragrance, evoking the sandy beaches, refreshing waters and wild natural beauty of the Mediterranean. With its salty hints, this unisex fragrance whisks men and women away on a sunkissed escapade.
The fragrance has citrus top notes with lemon, juniper berries and myrtle oil, followed by a heart of cypress and pine needles. Base notes bring a sensual combination of amber, lentisque (mastic) and labdanum (a resin obtained from the Cistus ladanifer plant that resembles ambergris).
The blue frosted glass bottle echoes that of the original “Costa Azzurra” scent, which was released in 2014. Here, it is finished with a glossy blue nameplate etched with gold lettering. The new version also proves a fresher, more citrusy fragrance.
The luxury brand has a reputation for releasing many sought-after fragrances, including the iconic Tom Ford Black Orchid, a heady scent that includes black truffle, jasmine, and ylang-ylang.
The Tom Ford “Costa Azzurra Acqua” fragrance is due out in Spring 2019.
