Novitec McLaren Senna Featured

German automotive company Novitec Group are no strangers to making the best even better. Luxury, high performance marques the company has worked on include Ferrari, Lamborghini and other McLaren vehicles.

The McLaren Senna coupe is an embodiment of the brand’s commitment to racing. Its eponym is a feted Brazilian Formula One race driver Ayrton Senna, who won three Formula One World Drivers’ Championship titles and 35 Formula One Grand Prix race wins before passing away in 1994.

Designed with shaving down lap times in mind, the two-door focuses on aerodynamic, lightweight elements. A new-generation carbon fibre monocoque and carbon ceramic brakes are integral to the vehicle’s low dry weight of a hair under 1,200 kg.

Novitec’s proprietary INCONEL-made superlight exhaust further improves on the Senna’s ferocious power-to-weight ratio, bringing 753 hp per metric ton of dry weight to the table when fully decked out. It comes either polished or matte black, and provides the turbo-charged eight cylinder engine some much-needed breathing room.

With its staggering 902 hp, the hypercar’s century time is a mere 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 335 km/h. Continue to keep your foot down, and the juiced-up McLaren Senna will reach 200 km/h in less than four seconds.

While the bodywork remains untouched, Novitec has worked with American manufacturers Vossen to design a tailor-made alloy tire and wheel combination that improves performance on the road and racetrack while emphasising the wedge design of the hypercar.
