Singapore Yacht Show boats

Put on your boat shoes, and drape that sweater over your shoulders as 2019’s Singapore Yacht Show pulls into the harbour.

This year’s edition of the prestigious event sees over 16 vessels on display from various exhibitors including Hong Seh Marine, Fountaine-Pajot, Princess Yachts, and Simpson Marine.

Some of the vessels will be seen in Singapore, APAC, or Asia for the first time, including the first-in-Asia Sanlorenzo SD126, a 38m-long superyacht with design inspired by elements of the great transatlantic liners of the 30s. There’ll also be the premiere of the Fountaine-Pajot Alegria 67, the crown jewel of catamarans in the brand’s Flagship range that features the latest in seafaring technology.

You won’t just be looking at boats though. The yacht show will also feature a “floating leisure hub”, that showcases equipment and toys that will complement your yachting: from fishing equipment to drones. There’ll also be a showcase of personal watercraft on a 10m-long swimming pool, where you’ll find jet skis, submersibles, inflatables, day boats and the likes.

Haven’t got sea legs? The show is more akin to a festival and will feature a wide range of F&B options including crowd favourites Kult Kafe and Meatsmith, performances, bespoke jewellery, fashion, and even artwork to explore.

For those that live and breathe the nautical life, the SYS2019 Gala Evening & Awards will gather some of the most prominent biggest names in the global yachting industry, and influential guests for a night of entertainment and gourmet delights themed after the roaring 20s. The Asia Boating Awards will also happen at this event, held at the Capitol Theatre.
