[dropcap size=small]C[/dropcap]rab lovers, rejoice. There are now 10 styles of crab available at Ah Hoi’s Kitchen, and diners get to pick their Sri Lankan crab of choice from the “live” display tank. While the restaurant is best known for its chilli crab, head chef Tan Loo Hoo has been giving off-the-menu recommendations to his regulars for years. This year, he decided to launch a promotion to introduce more crab dishes like Indonesia claypot curry crab, a similarly spicy alternative to chilli crab, to customers.
The salted egg and crispy yam crab packs a savoury punch, with addictive yam sticks that are paired deliciously with the crab. For something lighter but no less satisfying, try the glass noodles and Chinese wine creation. Hua Diao wine complements the tender crab, amplifying its fresh sweetness.
While the ever-popular chilli crab is a mainstay on the menu, it’s the first time many of the other styles of crab are being launched officially. The promotion lasts till Jul 31 and prices start at $75 per kg of Sri Lankan crab.
