The Hong Kong-based Mandarin Oriental hotel group will be opening the doors to their first outpost in the Chinese capital of Beijing on March 18. Occupying the upper levels of premium lifestyle retail center the WF Central, the Mandarin Oriental Wangfujing is minutes from the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square and features sweeping views of the iconic Ming Dynasty palace.

The 73 guestrooms and suites are described as among the largest in Beijing – they start at 55 square meters – and are designed to incorporate classic Chinese décor with contemporary aesthetics.
Room amenities include brands like Dyson, Bose, Samsung and Nespresso and cashmere throw blankets.
Cuisine includes dim sum at Café Zi, seafood and steaks at Mandarin Grill, and inventive cocktails at the MO Bar.
The hotel opening also gives Beijing a new rooftop bar and dining destination, as well as indoor lap pool with a sky roof.
