Dover Park Hospice (DPH) celebrated its 25th anniversary last Friday at The Ritz Carlton, Millenia Singapore with a Sunflower Gala Ball themed “A Sterling Affair”, where close to S$1m was raised.
Guests were transported to a futuristic space decked out with lights and strewn with lines and geometric patterns. Raffles College of Higher Education designed futuristic outfits for DPH show choir- GEMs.
More than 1,600 origami cranes decorated the event, each folded by DPH volunteers. The event was well attended with more than 500 guests present.
The money raised will benefit more than 11,000 patients and their families, as well as fund DPH’s upcoming Integrated Hub that provides seamless, family-friendly palliative care and comfort to terminally-ill patients. The Hub will be ready by 2022.
