Food from the Heart’s charity golf event raises over $120,000 for the needy

On Sept 17, 2019, Food from the Heart held its annual charity golf tournament at Singapore Island Country Club. The event saw avid golfers congregating for a good cause, combining their love for golf with giving back to the community. Following a friendly match on the 18-hole course, guests settled into a dinner and entertainment session, where the programme ended with 60 lucky golfers walking away with attractive prizes from generous sponsors.

All proceeds raised at the event will go towards funding Food from the Heart’s six community programmes. Those programmes supported 40,300 needy individuals in 2018.

Established since 2003, Food from the Heart has been reaching out to the less fortunate and brightening their lives via a food distribution programme, as well as bringing joy through the distribution of toys and holding birthday celebrations.
