The Peak supported a local initiative spearheaded by Food Culture Singapore and The Refectory with more than 30 local start-ups and heritage brands ranging from savoury snacks and sweets, sauces and jams, to scented candles, ointments, disinfectants and fashion accessories.
The event kicked off with an exclusive private dining experience curated by celebrity chef John Sawarto and chef Russell Misso using novel, local, sustainable ingredients from 16 start-ups, whipping up a sumptuous seven-course dinner for a group of guests, which included Guest of Honours – Yeo Wan Ling, Member of Parliament Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC & Hany Soh, Member of Parliament Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC.
Some guests were given a private tour of the kitchen to understand the source of the ingredients behind the dishes and a personal introduction to the chefs.
Held at The Refectory, the Christmas Bazaar showcased more than 30 Singapore brands with a sustainable or innovative angle, or a key part of our local heritage. These brands can be found on the e-commerce platform, Food Culture Singapore, which supports small businesses in expanding their market presence in Singapore and abroad through pop-ups and seeking distribution partners, as well as in the digital arena.
