01: MILESTONE MARKER
If you like this iteration of the Longines Flagship watch, you have Kate Winslet to thank. It was the actress and Longines ambassador who selected the 1950s model upon which this new timepiece was based. Shown here in steel, this 38.5mm automatic watch celebrates the 60th anniversary of the brand’s Flagship series.02: ON THE DOUBLE
Like the rest of the Montblanc 1858 family, the Automatic Dual Time is a reinterpretation of the renowned Minerva sport chronographs of the 1930s. With its bronze bezel and crown, and stainless steel case, this 44mm self-winding dual- timer is one of the latest timepieces heralding the return of the two- tone metal watch.03: A FINE VINTAGE
The early 20th century was when wristwatches began replacing pocket watches. Bovet pays tribute to the latter with the 19Thirty Dimier series. Housed in a 42mm steel case, this manually wound watch features numerals and hands inspired by a Bovet pocket watch from the 1930s.04: AN ICON REBORN
Audemars Piguet has updated the Royal Oak Extra-Thin (aka “Jumbo”) to mark the 40th anniversary of the first Royal Oaks crafted from precious metals. This automatic model is housed in a classic 39mm yellow gold case, complemented by a vintage-inspired champagne dial with a Petite Tapisserie motif.05: RAIL WORLD
Omega’s Railmaster model turns 60 this year. The original Railmaster was created for wearers who worked near electrical fields, and the reissue continues this anti-magnetic trope in a big way. Powered by the Master Chronometer 8806, this 38mm steel timepiece is resistant to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss.06: OVER THE MOON
Presented in a 45mm red gold case, the IWC Portofino Hand- wound Moon Phase integrates a lunar display as a homage to the first Portofino model from 1984. The moonphase, date, small seconds and power reserve are neatly presented against a slate- coloured dial. The manually wound timepiece has a stunning power reserve of eight days.07: REMAKING HISTORY
Outstanding in its elegant minimalism, the Parmigiani Toric Chronometre is a remake of the first watch designed by the brand’s founder, Michel Parmigiani. The 40.8mm red gold automatic timepiece features classic elements such as javelin- shaped hands and a finely fluted bezel, simply complemented by a grained white dial.
