In his last collection for Dior Homme, Kris Van Assche – who now does creative duty at Berluti – sought inspiration from Dior’s midcentury women’s tailoring and ‘90s youth culture to create sharp looks with a skateboarding twist.

04: BOTTEGA VENETA
The anything-goes individualism of New York-inspired refined urban styles such as a glossy-wool check jacket and zebra-print wool jeans.

Bold abstract motifs such as the tiger print on this overcoat give the house’s latest collection an artsy, streetwear-influenced edge.

06: EMPORIO ARMANI
A quiet palette of deep blues and blacks lets textures – think velvet, wool and faux fur – do the talking.

Colours like camel and black; boot-cut trousers and down jackets – these sound like retro elements, but the way they are mixed by creative director Mark Weston is pretty darn fresh.

09: ERMENEGILDO ZEGNA COUTURE
A quilted jumpsuit, a jacket with a motif inspired by nature – the elements of this ensemble make it clear that Alessandro Sartori continues to skilfully fuse sportswear and tailoring at Zegna.
