Starting the year on the right foot is great, but if it’s with a Chanel wardrobe must-have, it’s even better. A selection of pieces from the Rue Cambon fashion house will be auctioned by Artcurial from January 5 to 11, exclusively online. This is an opportunity for the luxury brand’s clients, enthusiasts and collectors to find great Chanel classics, but also more current lifestyle creations.

The Chanel Vintage sale — as its name does not necessarily suggest — will not only be devoted to pieces from past decades. Buyers will also be able to treat themselves to more original creations, such as a yoga and pilates ball, a boomerang, costume jewelry, and even a metal, cardboard and plastic box from the set of the ‘Chanel Shopping Center’ fashion show, dedicated to the fall-winter 2014-15 season.

The sale’s highlights include a denim ensemble trimmed with navy, red and white wool braids from the fall-winter 1993-94 collection (estimate: €400/600), a haute couture mauve jersey suit circa 1965-70 (estimate: €1,000/1,200), a pair of partially quilted navy aged leather boots (estimate: €200/400), a black lizard flap bag with a leather interlaced chain handle (estimate: €800/1,000), or a black and white film photograph, featuring Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington, by Karl Lagerfeld for an advertising campaign for Chanel (estimate: €2,500/3,500).
