Named after the eye-catching criss-crossed elastic at the front, Ermenegildo Zegna’s Triple Stitch leather sneaker welcomes a new construction. It makes perfect sense for Singapore’s hot weather. Typically, the autumn/winter fashion season sees a variety of heavy-duty boots and high-tops made for walking around in the cold, so Alessandro Sartori’s creation is a welcome sight.
The triple stitch elastic has a functional reason. It allows you to easily slip your foot in and out of the sneaker without having to fiddle with shoelaces. Other than the triple stitch elastic at the front, you can also find the three hand-stitch motif on the back of the shoe. Both are a nod to Ermenegildo Zegna’s heritage in suiting. Sartori also used extra-light rubber for the sole to fit the modern man’s busy lifestyle.
The sneaker is available in leather, grained calfskin and suede, and deerskin in a variety of colour ways, including beige, dark vicuna and red. Check out the other colours in the gallery below.
