Of the essence
For those who want to look sharp without spending too much time thinking about their wardrobes, Berluti has launched The Essentials. The new permanent line comprises clothing, shoes and leather goods the brand believes are must-have essentials for every man. These include sleek suits, blue or black denim jeans, tapered jogger pants, cotton poplin shirts and, of course, Berluti’s signature shoes. Aside from the Alessandro lace-up and the Andy loafer, Berluti has introduced Equilibre, a new formal shoe that focuses on ergonomics with a slightly rounded heel and sides.
Bold moves
Multipurpose hybrid garments have become quite the trend, and Kenzo Sport offers its vibrant take on the concept with a blanket cape, made in collaboration with outdoor apparel company Voited. Available in bold hues like red or blue, this two-in-one will probably appeal mostly to glamping fans. For everyone else, the brand’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection also offers other brightly coloured options made for moving (rather than camping) around in, such as tees, leggings and windbreakers.
Eternal summer
One of the good things about living in the tropics is that you can sport summery styles all year round and not look out of place. This is a good reason to check out the latest Loewe Paula’s Ibiza collection of cheerful artisanal woven bags made from various natural fibres. Making its debut is the Anagram Basket woven from Iraca palm by female artisans in Colombia who are part of an artisanal collective. There are also whimsical touches aplenty, such as the raffia ruffles encircling woven versions of the Balloon bucket bag and the Pochette shoulder bag.
