Luxury e-commerce retailers Net-a-Porter and Mr Porter have brought great joy to our lives for a long time. Few things sound more melodious than the sound of a doorbell being rung by a courier bearing our latest fashion or skincare purchase. And now, the e-tailers have teamed up with Capella Singapore to make our days better, in a way that’s a lot more mindful, via an intiative called A Considered Life.
For the whole of September, Capella Singapore will offer a unique staycation that includes workshops ranging from crafts to cooking, as well as how to grow an edible garden. Guests will also receive a gift set featuring a Net Sustain beauty kit and a Mr Porter grooming kit. Net Sustain is Net-a-Porter’s “edit of consciously crafted fashion and beauty products”, and is a growing segment within the platform.
In partnership with the MeshMinds Foundation, A Considered Life will also include an art exhibition, Please Insert Women. Launching on Aug 20 and taking place at Capella’s Cassia Foyer, the exhibition will feature a total of nine artworks, including four augmented-reality artworks by four local female and non-binary artists working with Spark AR by Facebook. If you’re already thinking about where to take a break next month, this unusual staycation might be just the ticket, whether or not you’re a shopaholic.
