BTS Louis Vuitton

On July 7, Louis Vuitton presented a special spin-off show for its Men’s Fall/Winter 2021 collection in Seoul, South Korea with a special appearance by K-pop sensation BTS. This spin-off show is an extension of Virgil Abloh’s The Voyage vision — to present the collections “across cultures and nations, observing the core values of diversity, inclusivity and unity key to the practice of Virgil Abloh.” While the collection is similar to what was shown earlier in January this year, creative director Abloh has added more than 20 new looks to this spin-off.

And to mark this special occasion, the French luxury house invited its ambassadors BTS for a special video performance, titled Hope. Directed by Korean director Jeon Go-woon, the short film explores the city of Seoul through the lens of diversity, sparking conversations on space, movement and global connectivity, with the boys wearing seven of the original looks from the collection.

The South Korean boy group is no stranger to the French fashion brand. At the Grammys this year, all seven members of the group wore Louis Vuitton, and even showed off their sleek moves from Abloh’s creations in their Dynamite music video.
