Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred steakhouse Beefbar chefs in Singapore, cooking up best-loved dishes

Meat lovers are in for a lip-smacking night as Ash & Elm plays host to the prolific chef Andrea Spagoni.

Come June, Ash & Elm at the Intercontinental Singapore will play host to a visiting chef known for heading up Hong Kong’s sole Michelin-starred, beef-centric restaurant and steakhouse, Beefbar Hong Kong .

The two-night, five-course dinner affair will span Jun 1 and Jun 2. Beefbar executive chef Andrea Spagoni will be plating up signature dishes alongside one from InterCon’s executive sous chef, Philippe Duc, and a dessert creation by pastry chef Ben Goh.

Ash & Elm has had a strong showing on our annual G Restaurant Awards listings, so it comes with recommendations. The menu, with a bent towards surf and turf, is as follows.

Amberjack carpaccio
Wasabi dressing, coriander cress

Beef tartare “bistro style”

Pan-seared Hokkaido scallops
Cauliflower, brown butter sauce

American prime Black Angus tenderloin, Australian wagyu-crossbred striploin
Mashed potatoes
