The entrance of Seletar Business Aviation Centre

Keen to cut down the time you spend in an airport to the bare minimum possible? If you’re travelling by private jet, you can now go through the newly-built Seletar Business Aviation Centre (SBAC).

The entry point is managed by SATS Seletar Aviation Services Pte Ltd Jet Aviation (SASS), a joint venture by Universal Aviation, and SATS. BAC offers private jet owners and travellers the chance to get from the entrance of the building to their planes in a matter of literal minutes.

Bob Chi, Chairman of the SASS, shares: “Private jet travellers are usually on a tight schedule and travel frequently. Saving time while travelling is naturally important to this segment of customers.”

To do this, the whole complex has been designed to ease the usually-tedious process of immigration and navigating an airport. The entrance of the building is just a minute’s walk to the checkpoint, where dedicated counters for travellers ensure everything from baggage handling and security checks, to immigration clearance happens swiftly.

While speed is of the essence, private jet travellers don’t have to sacrifice any luxuries. Facilities include a well-appointed lounge and meeting room — for those who do not even have time to travel out of the airport for business meetings. Soon to launch are limousine and concierge services like personal shoppers and butlers —to cater for every need of the busy jet setter.

Food is also a major part of the services available.  SATS — one of the largest food solutions and gateway service providers in the region — offers a wide range of meal options that range from fine-dining level meals to local, familiar comfort food like biryani and laksa. The catering team can even prepare personalised menus, taking care of all special requests and dietary restrictions.

Shares SATS executive chef Damian Le Bihan, “Depending on our capacity, we can usually accommodate up to 98% of all special requests…We offer handmade chocolates for guests, where they can even customise the chocolate’s filling.”
