The seventh edition of Singapore Wine Fiesta will take place from 23 to 26 Oct this year.
Started in 2008 by local wine merchant, The Straits Wine Company, the annual event offers a one-stop shopping, tasting and educational experience for all wine lovers. This year, the outdoor event will be held at Clifford Square, and is expected to receive 70 visiting wine-makers, with some 300 wines up for sale and tasting.
Key highlights include a wide variety of masterclasses conducted by wine experts and wine-makers every 45 minutes. The masterclasses range from the technicalities of wine tasting and making, to light-hearted sessions that attempt to pair wines with local cuisine. There is also a Winemakers’ Table Dinner on the first night of the event, where diners get to sample 60 iconic wines (CVNE Imperial Gran Reserva 2004 and Vietti Barolo Lazzrito 2010, to name a few) and mingle with key wine-makers and Mr Joel Payne, publisher and chief editor of the Gault Millau German Wine Guide.
Tickets for the Singapore Wine Fiesta 2014 are priced at $55 nett, and $228++ for the opening night wine dinner. DBS/POSB cardholders are entitled to a 10% offer (until 15 Oct), and 15% offer on group purchase of six tickets and above.
