The Glen Grant Dennis Malcolm 60th Anniversary Edition

It’s not everyday that you get a whisky named after you, but then again Dennis Malcolm isn’t just anybody. Born at The Glen Grant distillery in 1946, he’s a third-generation distiller and one of the most decorated. He was inducted into the Whisky Magazine’s Hall of Fame in 2014 and 2015, received the Whisky Advocate’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015, and in 2016 was named as an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

In homage, the Campari Group’s RARE division has launched The Glen Grant Dennis Malcolm 60th Anniversary Edition. With only 360 bottles worldwide and 10 released in Singapore, the single malt scotch whisky is the oldest bottling from the whisky house aged for 60 years in a single ex-Oloroso sherry cask in 1960.

The chestnut-coloured liquid is held in a hand-blown crystal glass shaped after The Glen Grant’s unique slender pot stills and a walnut presentation case engraved with Malcom’s signature and a Certificate of Authenticity. The main highlight is, of course, the scotch’s complex notes of raisins, pecan, toffee that lingers on the palette long after you’ve had a sip.
