$1.2 million raised at National Gallery Singapore's "Past. Present. Future" Gallery Benefit
Despite the challenges brought about by the global pandemic, National Gallery Singapore successfully held a fundraising benefit that brought together a community of individuals and patrons passionate about the arts, who engaged in an evening of live discussion on “Legacy and Patronage” alongside a segment on art appreciation through the viewing of Nam June Paik - The Future is Now exhibition.
The benefit was graced by Guest of Honour Edwin Tong, Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Second Minister of Law. The key highlight for the night was the charity auction with 13 lots from a diverse group of artists working across the globe, particularly Southeast Asia.
Also taking place was an online sale of 47 lots, which ran from Jan 10 to 20, 2022. Through the generosity and support of the Benefit Committee, esteemed patrons, partners and donors, The Gallery Benefit raised over S$1.2 million from this fundraiser.
