Singapore-born tech startup, Igloo, is holding a global real estate and technology summit to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The parent company of home securities company igloohome, was founded in Singapore in 2016 and has since expanded to operate across borders, including the United States. It is against this backdrop of successful scaling that the company is hosting UNLOCKED26 on 26 February 2026.
Held in Singapore, the summit is expected to bring together more than 500 senior leaders who collectively influence over US$500 billion (approximately S$644 billion) in global real estate assets, alongside technology innovators, investors and policymakers from the US, Asia-Pacific and Europe. Supported by SGX and JTC, UNLOCKED26 aims to encourage cross-border collaboration and explore how technology is reshaping the built environment, particularly as property owners grapple with the challenge of modernising legacy security systems without compromising resilience or operational continuity.
While Igloo positions itself first and foremost as a technology company, its decision to centre the summit on real estate together with technology reflects its deep ties to the housing sector. After all, the company began with smart locks and digital access solutions and has continued to deliver on this solution as it scaled internationally. Its offerings combine cryptographically secure, enterprise-grade software with hardware that can be retrofitted into existing buildings, allowing owners and operators to upgrade access management without costly system overhauls.
Today, Igloo supports around 5,000 enterprise customers worldwide and has shipped over one million access devices. The company was most recently recognised as International Startup of the Year in Austin, Texas, with America accounting for 65% of its revenue today, underscoring its growing footprint beyond Asia.
Beyond convening industry leaders, UNLOCKED26 also serves as a marker of where the company intends to go next. As Igloo enters its second decade, it is seeking to deepen its leadership in smart access and software-led security, scale its presence in the US and other international markets, and expand its ecosystem of technology partners.
A central pillar of this strategy is the planned launch of an AI-powered platform that would allow thousands of software developers to build access-control solutions and automated workflows for the global rental economy, with applications designed to work seamlessly across millions of residential and commercial units.
“Ten years ago, we began with a simple belief, that access should be effortless, secure, and universal,” said Anthony Chow, co-founder and chief executive of Igloo. “Today, Igloo powers over a billion unlocks a year across thousands of enterprises globally. UNLOCKED26 marks both a celebration and a beginning. Together with our partners, we are building the next decade of A World Without Keys.”
