Over the past few years, Southeast Asia's gaming market has been rapidly growing, driven by a young, digitally savvy user base through innovations such as 5G connectivity, cloud gaming, and mobile technologies transforming how users engage with content.

For instance, innovations in mobile technology, such as AI-driven targeting and personalised in-app experiences, are expected to grow in the coming years. According to Mordor Intelligence, Southeast Asia's gaming industry will be worth almost US$15 billion by 2029.

This, in turn, has allowed Clement Cao, Chief Executive Officer of Mobvista, to build a brand through the world of mobile advertisers that everyone lives in, as well as the key innovation of AdTech to catalyse the growth of tech businesses through its developers.

Together with his team, he started Mobvista at a juncture when smartphones were gaining traction among the masses, such as when the 4G connection was the rage, Candy Crush was downloaded and played by all, and HTC One was the leading mobile phone.

After over a decade, the company has expanded its global footprint to 18 offices worldwide, serving over 10,000 developers and helping them grow significantly through advanced advertising and analytics tools.

In advancing tech innovation, the future of mobile technology is driven by significant advancements in AI-driven advertising, the integration of cross-channel media buying platforms, and the evolving preferences of a new generation of consumers.

For instance, automation will be vital in streamlining advertising, allowing marketers to focus more on strategy and creative development.

In addition, integrating cross-channel media buying platforms would significantly advance campaign management, offering a centralised interface for optimising campaigns across multiple digital channels.

"Such integration is crucial for maintaining a consistent brand message while adapting to the rapidly changing digital landscape," said Mr Clement Cao, Chief Executive Officer of Mobvista. "And as mobile technology continues to advance, the ability to scale campaigns globally while ensuring local relevance will be increasingly important."

Cao added that as these technologies evolve, there will be a heightened emphasis on privacy and data security, and advertisers and developers will need to navigate these challenges while staying ahead of rapid technological changes.

He believes that the trajectory of mobile technology is towards greater integration of AI-driven advertising and cross-channel media platforms, which will revolutionise digital marketing practices by enabling more personalised, efficient, and impactful campaigns that meet the demands of a new generation of consumers.

Future of Tech on the rise

The future of tech has been of growing interest over the past few years, with many more new and up-and-coming technologies being introduced onto the market.

For instance, Singapore-based health technology startup Mito Health has revolutionised healthcare through a virtual longevity clinic to enhance customers' health and well-being, from health reports to lifestyle recommendation plans.

In addition, Helport, a Singapore-based artificial intelligence (AI) startup, has revolutionised the customer service industry by providing remote assistance to employees and companies to manage their operations.

Through the use of AI, customer service professionals would be able to receive guidance as well as recommendations to help them better tailor their responses.

Building on the momentum, Mobvista's ultimate mission would be to catalyse tech businesses in Asia that have grown exponentially to become a billion-dollar industry still expected to expand globally, specifically in Southeast Asia.
