One Michelin-starred Art di Daniele Sperindio (formerly Art restaurant) at National Gallery hosted the annual Alba White Truffle Benefit Dinner and Charity Auction on November 13, 2022.

In collaboration with Alba White Truffle World Auction, the event brought together the best of Italian gastronomy, fine wines, and the spirit of charity. Furthermore, 100 per cent of the proceeds from the silent auction and nett proceeds from the dinner are donated to beneficiary partner =DREAMS.

The highlight of the evening was the simultaneous live auction via video stream for this year’s largest White Truffle from Alba – weighing 950g – which saw intense bidding from six participating cities: Alba, Doha, Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore and Vienna.

The hammer finally went down and a bidder in Hong Kong paid €184,000 (SG$262,000) for the truffle - whose hefty weight is said to be rather rare. In Singapore, S$63,000 was raised via table sales and a silent auction which included fine and rare wines from Langhe in large format (magnums and jeroboams of Barolos and Barberescos) plus three lots of truffles weighing 116g.
