Being scrubbed down on a bed of hot stone, hammam-style, would be so much better with some Thai massage thrown in.

Thus The Thai Hammam Experience at Amatara, Phuket, was born. The newly-launched programme melds the therapeutic steaming and mud application with organic products worked in by a firm Thai masseuse, borrowing heavily from the spa practices of both cultures. The same rhetoric can be found in the premises’ architecture, where Turkish and Moroccan influences play off Thai accents.
