Zeekr is expanding its presence in Singapore with the launch of the Zeekr X Urban, a Category A variant of its compact luxury SUV. It’s a move that reflects a clear intent: to make premium electric mobility accessible to a broader group of drivers without diluting the refinement that defines the brand.
When the Zeekr X first landed here in August 2024, it turned heads for its urban-ready design and sophisticated technology. The Urban variant builds on that foundation, calibrated for a gentler pace yet retaining the DNA that has made Zeekr one of the fastest-growing names in electric mobility.
It’s designed for those who want a vehicle that fits seamlessly into their city rhythm — efficient yet composed, understated yet confident.
On paper, the numbers impress. The Zeekr X Urban runs on a single motor producing 110kw of power and 343 Nm of torque, achieving a 0 to 100 kmh time of 8.7 seconds. Its 66kwh CATL NMC battery delivers up to 441km on a single charge, with the ability to fast-charge from 10 to 80 per cent in under 30 minutes.
Consuming just 17.5kwh per 100km, the Zeekr X Urban stands as one of the most efficient compact SUVs in its class.
Form with intent
Design has always been central to Zeekr’s identity, and the X Urban is no exception. Its proportions are compact — 4.4m in length and 1.5m in height — but its presence feels larger than its frame. Frameless doors with electric release mechanisms lend the car a sculpted, seamless silhouette, while its full-width organic glass tail lights, made up of 229 LEDs, create a striking visual signature that subtly signals sophistication rather than spectacle.
The result is a form that blends Scandinavian restraint with a distinctly modern edge — elegant, but never ornamental.
Step inside, and the sense of calm precision continues. The panoramic glass roof floods the cabin with daylight while advanced insulation ensures comfort in Singapore’s tropical climate.
Vegan leather upholstery wraps the seats in soft tactility, while power-adjustable front seats with memory function deliver custom comfort for the daily commute or weekend drive. The rear seats offer generous space, with flexible storage that expands from 362 to 1,182 litres. Every inch feels deliberate, built around quiet convenience rather than excess.
Safety, too, has been considered down to the smallest detail. The Zeekr X Urban is built on Zeekr’s Sustainable Experience Architecture, with a structure comprising 73 per cent high-strength steel — allowing the roof to withstand up to nine tonnes of weight.
Anti-collision beams absorb lateral forces of up to 636 kN, protecting both occupants and the battery pack. Seven airbags are strategically positioned throughout the cabin and designed to maintain pressure for six seconds after deployment, providing sustained protection in the event of secondary impact.
Around it all, a network of intelligent driver assistance systems — from Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist to Evasive Manoeuvre and Collision Mitigation Support — works quietly to anticipate, rather than react.
Human-centred innovation
Technology here is present but never overbearing. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip powers the cockpit, which integrates an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster with a 14.6-inch central touchscreen.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto keep connectivity seamless, while face recognition, driver monitoring, and a 360-degree camera system enhance both awareness and ease of use. The interface feels more like a conversation than a command — intuitive, calm, and human in its design.
In the Zeekr X Urban, that balance feels naturally resolved. It’s a car that doesn’t seek to impress through noise or novelty, but through clarity — a distillation of performance, design, and intent.
Where some electric vehicles look to the future as abstraction, the Zeekr X Urban makes it quietly tangible: a car built not just to turn heads, but to feel at home in the city it now belongs to.
