Six SSO music concerts to attend in July & August 2026
The Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s new season of concerts features acclaimed performers and diverse genres from classical favourites to film scores.

The Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) is set to ignite the city with a spell-binding musical experience in its July/August performances.
Founded in 1979, SSO is Singapore’s flagship orchestra, renowned for excellence and innovation. The group performs a diverse range of music genres, collaborates with internationally renowned conductors and soloists, and has recorded numerous albums that have received critical acclaim.
This July and August 2026, the orchestra is committed to embracing a wide array of genres, showcasing the richness and diversity of musical expression.
From film scores and classical favourites to the stirring symphonies of renowned soloists, the new season promises a fusion of beloved melodies and virtuosic performances.
TwoSet Violin x SSO: Sacrilegious Games, July 2 & 3
As part of the TwoSet Violin World Tour, the Australian-Taiwanese duo, classically trained violinists Brett Yang and Eddy Chen, bring their show to Singapore for two nights on 2 & 3 July, 2026.
With more than 4.37 million subscribers on YouTube, the pair have redefined classical music with their personable videos and livestreams, bridging popular culture, comedy and their musical training. Joining them is the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) and conductor Joshua Tan.
Free SSO concerts, 29 July & 29 August
New to classical music? Get a taste with either of the free concerts available during lunchtime at Victoria Concert Hall on July 29 or at Raffles Hotel Singapore’s Lawn on August 29 for the bi-monthly programme called Magic Hour.
Symphony in the Gardens, August 1
Get your picnic mats ready. The annual concert at Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage at Singapore Botanic Gardens, a listed UNESCO World Heritage Site, returns on August 1, 2026.
Conducted by Nathanaël Iselin from France, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra performs amidst the tropical backdrop of the garden.
National Day Concert 2026, August 15
The yearly National Day Concert will be held at the Esplanade Concert Hall with National Day songs we’ve come to know and love and compositions from veteran composers Kelly Tang and Tsao Chieh, as well as young composers Sulwyn Lok and Germaine Goh, concluding with the winning compositions of the NDC 2026 Call for Compositions.
The orchestra will be conducted by Lien Boon Hua.
Agápe - The Human Connection, August 21 & 22
In celebration of its Golden Jubilee, Apsaras Dance Company proudly presents Agápe, a multidisciplinary work exploring the beauty of human relationships: with oneself, between others, with nature, and across cultures.
It serves as an artistic response to contemporary challenges in mental well-being, societal disconnection, and digital alienation. The production, led by artistic director and Cultural Medallion recipient Aravinth Kumarasamy, will be shown at the Esplanade Theatre on August 21 & 22, 2026.
SNYO x SSO: Jurassic Park In Concert, August 28
Experience the action-packed adventure of Jurassic Park, featuring visually stunning imagery and groundbreaking special effects, as man is pitted against prehistoric predators in the ultimate battle for survival.
The film is projected in HD, with a full symphony orchestra (both the Singapore National Youth Orchestra and Singapore Symphony Orchestra) conducted by Joshua Tan, performing John Williams’ iconic score live to picture. The performance will be held at the Esplanade Theatre Hall on August 28, 2026.
