Make a mental note to drop by 250 Orchard Road the next time you’re in the Ngee Ann City vicinity, for the former Design Orchard Retail Showcase has been given a new lease of life that takes Singapore fashion into the future.

The multi-label retail concept’s rebranding as DORS opens the shutters to a completely renovated space with a renewed purpose: to champion local creativity and serve as a vital platform to nurture emerging talents. As one of the few such stores in town with a strong emphasis on homegrown brands, DORS curates over 80 labels, offering shoppers everything from thoughtful homeware and lifestyle products to beauty essentials and ready-to-wear fashion.

The fun factor is also amped with three new immersive zones designed to make your day out more memorable. Those who appreciate a respite from the hustle and bustle could enjoy the ambience of The Analog Space, which is a quiet corner inspired by creative urban enclaves like Melbourne laneways and Tokyo side streets. Hide away from the crowds or your digital devices by browsing vinyls, paperbacks, stationery, and sensory objects.

Beauty junkies will love The Beauty Bar, which is a hands-on indulgence zone with a working sink at its heart. Swatch and sample some spa luxury to your heart’s content, and hopefully, you’d take home some proudly local offerings for that much-needed self-care. The Play Ground is where Singapore’s pluralism and vibrant spirit are translated into bold colours, cheeky designs, quirky gifts, and cute collectibles — all curated to spark delight and playful discovery.

“This evolution is about more than aesthetics,” says Zhang Ting Ting, CEO of Singapore Fashion Council, which manages the boutique. “It’s about reasserting our role as a launchpad for emerging designers, a space for meaningful collaborations, and a home for stories rooted in Singapore’s culture and creativity.”

Indeed, DORS’ new logo features an interlocking design symbolising its commitment to connection, expansion, and breaking boundaries. What’s even better are its values of sustainability, thoughtful design, and community discovery.
