As Singapore gears up to welcome the F1 Grand Prix this year in October, the new F1NIGHTRACE: ALL ACCESS exhibition has now been set up inside the F1 Pit Building, which runs from 6 July to 3 August 2025. Both die-hard fans and newcomers to F1 alike will enjoy walking through the two floor self-guided experience, which provides an informative rundown of the Singapore F1 event and what goes into making it possible.
Having hosted F1 since 2008, Singapore has a long and storied history with the Grand Prix. As one of the country’s most lucrative events, it has brought an estimated $2.2 billion to Singapore in incremental tourist receipts ever since its first edition. The 16th edition is due to be held over three days in October, with more than 700 Singapore-based companies subcontracted annually for the event.
The beginning of the exhibition is already enough to excite any megafan of F1, with visitors being greeted by a one-to-one replica of an F1 car that they can take photos with. An interactive virtual tour allows fans to survey the circuit using footage from last year’s race, with specific landmarks showing both the day activities and the night concerts that take place in the same locations. Attempt to beat other fans’ scores in the driving simulator, with the provided F1 driver’s seat and chassis topping off the experience.
However, the true stars of the show are further in — what makes F1NIGHTRACE: All Access special are the displays that spotlight the Singapore F1 pit crew, track marshals, and other unsung heroes that work to make F1 a success. Informative exhibits on the different flags used in the race, a pit-side photo opportunity and props for visitors to pose like the pit crew, as well as the track marshal uniforms used on the actual race are on display. The detailed, informative breakdowns of the work that goes into ensuring everything runs smoothly is sure to delight both nerds and newcomers to F1 alike.
There is also a special focus on the Singapore circuit, with the exhibition making sure to highlight the achievements of the pit crew. Milestones listed include the “Best Team of Officials” award, which was awarded to the Singapore recovery marshalls team by the FIA in 2023 for their record-breaking handling of the Lance Stroll crash that saw his car nearly entirely totaled.
One highlight of the exhibition is that it allows visitors behind-the-scenes access to areas that would normally be restricted on the days of the races, giving them a full look into the inner workings of the Singapore Grand Prix. This includes the media room, which boasts a stunning floor-to-ceiling view of the race track for commentary purposes, as well as the actual podium used, which visitors can take photos with using the props provided.
For those who are looking for the perfect photo op, the exhibition has plenty of photo opportunities. The Champions’ Hall and Driver’s Walk both feature displays of each F1 driver competing at this year’s Singapore Grand Prix so you can snap a selfie with the team you’re supporting. The life-size iridescent F1 car model is stunning on camera, and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take pictures on the podium used during the actual F1 races is one that can’t be missed. Keepsakes come included, too, with a visit — there are 3 interactive stamp stations scattered around the F1 Pit Building for visitors to customise their own F1 car designs.
F1NIGHTRACE also took care to shine a spotlight on the future of F1 in Singapore, with the exhibition featuring video interviews with two up-and-coming drivers. The interviews with Kabir Anurag, a Formula 4 driver, and Christian Ho, a Formula 3 driver, offer a rare sight into the Singaporean hopefuls who were inspired by the Singapore F1 races to pursue similar dreams of their own, as well as how Singapore can continue to support its budding racing industry going forward.
With an equal focus on both star drivers and the Singapore F1 operations, F1NIGHTRACE: ALL ACCESS is a fun and engaging deep dive into the surprising history of the annual event — a free exhibition well worth visiting for both long-time fans and newbies alike.
Due to overwhelming response, walk-ins are currently not available and all booking slots are filled. However, fans can follow their social media pages at @f1nightrace for the latest updates on the F1 season and upcoming #RevUpSG initiatives.
