1. Amber Lounge

Amber Lounge

A stalwart in the F1 Singapore Grand Prix party scene for more than 12 years, Amber Lounge is the place where international DJs and celebrities rub shoulders with race car drivers post-race over champagne. Lots of champagne. Fernando Alonso held his farewell party here in 2018, while Nico Rosberg celebrated his world title win at Amber Lounge in Abu Dhabi in 2016. This year, the glamorous post-face event is held at The Clifford Pier at the Fullerton Bay Hotel, after years of being held at Temasek Reflections near Millenia Tower.

The most expensive suite at Amber Lounge this year is the Noir Suite, which will set you back by more than S$100,000. The personalised bespoke space is limited to one group per night, with a dedicated wait staff to cater to your every whim and fancy, such as providing unlimited table service with flowing Perrier Jouet champagne and Belvedere vodka, along with special concoctions of Royal Salute whisky 21, Codigo 1530’s newly launched Sherry Cask Anejo tequila, The Orientalist’s Gunpowder Gin.

Food-wise, indulge in a scrumptious feast whipped up by American smokehouse restaurant Meatsmith and Burnt Ends Bakery, which is known for its popular doughnuts. Pair the nosh with Nomad Caviar, Amber Lounge’s custom-labelled Kaluga hybrid caviar. One octave lower is The Amber Suites that start from $45,000 for 10 people, which includes champagne, vodka, house pours.

Headlining this year’s music acts are acclaimed DJ and electronic music producer, Oliver Heldens and Swedish singer-songwriter John Martin best known for his collaborations with Swedish House Mafia.

Amber Lounge also ran a sold-out post-race party as part of the F1 GP in Monaco in May this year.  In 2020, the company was acquired by tech entrepreneur Patrick Grove, who runs the Catcha Group, an Internet company that has a presence in Southeast Asia. Grove bought over Amber Lounge from Sonia Irvine (sister of former F1 racing driver Eddie Irvine), who started Amber Lounge as part of the F1 Monaco Grand Prix in 2003.

If you want a larger-than-life experience at F1 Singapore Grand Prix, hit the hospitality packages that are housed at different complexes in the circuit park.

The Paddock Club is where the VIPs gather and watch the high-octane race action with a spectacular food line-up. Long-time restaurant participants include Nobu, the famed Peruvian-Japanese restaurant, which recently opened an outpost in Singapore, and Australia’s Rock Pool Bar & Grill by chef Neil Perry, and Como Cuisine, which has a restaurant enclave that includes Candlenut and Dempsey Cookhouse in Dempsey Hill. Wash the nosh down with a free-flow Champagne, fine wines and spirits. Expect to pay $9,898 for a three-day access.

Returning to the circuit park is Twenty3, a food and entertainment complex that is aptly located along Turn 23 of the race track. The turn, which is across the Singapore Flyer, is where most of the exhilarating race action will take place. It is part of the final lap to the finishing line and is directly opposite the podium, where champagne will be showered on the winner of the grueling race.

This year, it will host pop-ups by three Michelin-starred  restaurants in custom-built dining spaces that will only last all of three days. Restaurants at Twenty3 this year include Le Chabichou (two Michelin stars) from France, Takagi (two stars), which serves Kyoto cuisine,  Frog by Adam Handling (one star), which serves Modern British cuisine. Australia’s award-winning ‘Punk Princess of Pastry’ Anna Polyviou will be rolling out desserts.

After dining, head to the Apex lounge night club and dance under 300 light spheres. The price for Twenty3 access? $7,009 for three days or $1,766 to $4,869 for access on individual days.
