Restaurateur Luke Mangan To Cook For Train Journeys Aboard the Belmond Eastern & Oriental Express

The Australian, who owns Salt Grill & Sky Bar in Ion Orchard, and his team will cook in the train kitchens from Singapore to Bangkok to whip up meals for 82 guests.

Hotel and leisure company Belmond has partnered up with Australian restaurateur and chef-owner of Salt Grill & Skybar Luke Mangan for train trips aboard the Belmond Eastern & Oriental Express in Asia. The three-day, two-night journey begins in Singapore, where guests are invited to join on Mangan a morning market tour, before boarding the train towards Malaysia and Thailand. The chef and his Singapore-based team will serve up specially created menus from the train’s galley kitchens to the 82 guests in the dining car.
