There’s nothing new about the advent of 3D printers in furniture-making. For aspiring independent designers, the relatively affordable tool offers cheap and fast production to breathe life into eccentric designs.
But now, veteran designers are also jumping on board with 3D printers to realise a series of innovative-looking chairs. Spanish product design studio Nagami collaborated with leading designers Zaha Hadid Architects, Ross Lovegrove and Daniel Widrig to create four products, unveiled at Milan Design Week 2018. The ‘Brave New World’ collection – named after the 1932 dystopian novel by Aldous Huxley – is created entirely by 3D printing.
