The story of Bakhache Jewellery began with a profound love for vintage treasures. With an innate understanding of the art of fine jewellery, Bakhache Jewellery embodies the essence of curated opulence, where every piece reflects a collector’s devotion to the intricacies of design and the allure of unparalleled luxury.

“I have been a jeweller and a gemologist for more than 35 years and have helped establish big jewellery brands in Asia from all over the world,” shares the visionary founder, Antoine Bakhache, a distinguished name in the industry with over 35 years of experience as a jeweller and gemologist.

“My love for vintage jewellery started many years ago when I visited antique stores and auction houses both in Europe and the United States.”

Before launching Bakhache Jewellery’s physical store at the new Seibu at The Exchange TRX, Bakhache has been selling its curated vintage collection for the past few years at the brand’s private house in Bangsar. The response has been overwhelming.

“This made me realise that having a more public location would be a good idea to showcase the special pieces that we curate and, therefore, share the full collection with the public. We can now tell the story to a bigger audience, which is exciting,” he says.

Bakhache Jewellery’s global appeal is not a mere coincidence. With trunk shows in Melbourne and Sydney and partnerships in Bangkok with Lotus Art de Vivre, the brand adapts to diverse tastes. Worldwide, the discerning clientele shares a common appreciation for the rarity, intricacy, and finesse of Bakhache’s vintage jewellery.

Vintage pieces from the mid-20th century can have estimated values ranging from tens to hundreds of thousands of Swiss Francs.

Such jewellery collections remain high in demand and command precious market values at auction, reflecting their rarity, craftsmanship, and brand prestige. For instance, vintage pieces from the mid-20th century can have estimated values ranging from tens to hundreds of thousands of Swiss Francs, showcasing the significant investment potential of such items.

Auction results from Sotheby's also highlight the enduring demand among collectors for pieces that are no longer in production. A Bulgari gem set and diamond necklace had an estimate of 22,000 - 35,000 Swiss francs ($33,538 - $53,355), while a Chaumet emerald and diamond ring was estimated at 180,000 - 240,000 Swiss francs.

“Buying the right product at the right price is key,” Bakhache emphasises. “I look at how rare the piece is, how practical it is to use, how elegant and well finished it is, and above all, at what price.” The selection process is an art in itself, ensuring that every acquisition aligns with the discerning taste of Bakhache’s clientele.

Recognised for unparalleled craftsmanship, Bakhache Jewellery places a premium on offering clients the highest quality in vintage jewellery. Each piece undergoes thorough checks by expert jewellers and meticulous reconditioning in the workshop, restoring it to its original glory.
