For Charles Leclerc, Monaco’s Formula 1 hometown hero, a wedding in the principality was always going to carry a touch of theatre.
The Ferrari F1 driver married longtime partner Alexandra Saint Mleux in an intimate civil ceremony on February 28, blending Riviera elegance with subtle motorsport symbolism. Here are five highlights that defined Charles Leclerc’s luxury wedding style.
The wedding suit: Brunello Cucinelli custom tailoring
For the ceremony, Leclerc wore a custom look by Brunello Cucinelli that perfectly captured modern Riviera elegance. His made-to-measure suit was crafted from 100 per cent cashmere melange flannel, paired with a button-down collar shirt, silk knit tie, and aged calfskin Derby shoes from the Brunello Cucinelli Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
The cashmere flannel fabric added softness and depth to the tailoring, giving the suit a relaxed sophistication rather than traditional wedding formality — a style that felt entirely suited to Monaco’s Mediterranean setting.
The bride’s look brought its own couture moment. Alexandra Saint Mleux wore a custom gown by Australian designer Paul Vasileff of the label Paolo Sebastian. Crafted in delicate French Chantilly lace, the gown featured subtle butterfly and floral embellishments.
The wedding car: Ferrari Testa Rossa
No Monaco wedding would be complete without a moment on the road. For Charles Leclerc, that meant stepping into a legendary piece of automotive history: the vintage Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, which hails from the late 1950s to early 1960s, widely considered the golden era of endurance sports car racing.
The newlyweds were photographed driving through Monaco’s famous streets — the same roads that form the iconic Monaco Grand Prix circuit, from the harbourfront to the tunnel and the Fairmont hairpin.
For a Ferrari F1 driver whose career is defined by this circuit, incorporating the roads of Monaco into wedding imagery felt almost inevitable — the principality’s version of a horse-drawn carriage, only with considerably more horsepower.
The wedding watch: Richard Mille RM 72-01 Flyback Chronograph
Completing the groom’s look was a watch that reflected Leclerc’s close ties to high-performance watchmaking.
As a brand partner of Richard Mille, the driver wore the RM 72-01 Flyback Chronograph in titanium, a model known for its technical sophistication and sporty architecture.
The automatic flyback chronograph is powered by the in-house CRMC-1 calibre, developed specifically for the RM 72-01 with a column wheel mechanism and a unique clutch system designed to optimise energy transfer. The lightweight titanium case and skeletonised dial emphasise the brand’s signature blend of motorsport engineering and contemporary design.
For an F1 champion whose life revolves around speed and precision, the watch was a fitting final detail — a reminder that even on his wedding day, performance remains part of Charles Leclerc’s identity.
The wedding ceremony: Villa La Vigie
The ceremony took place at Villa La Vigie, one of Monaco’s most exclusive private estates. Built in 1902 on the Pointe de la Vigie peninsula, the villa sits dramatically between sea and sky overlooking Monte Carlo. It later became the summer residence of legendary late fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Today the property is managed by Societe des Bains de Mer and occasionally opened for private events. Sweeping terraces overlook the Mediterranean Sea, manicured lawns cascade toward the water and high-ceilinged interiors capture the Riviera’s luminous light.
The Wedding Pet: Leo the dog
Adding a playful and personal note to the celebration was Leclerc’s beloved dog, Leo.
The blonde dachshund, frequently seen on the driver’s social media, also appeared in the wedding photos, becoming an unexpected star of the ceremony. The dog has long been a familiar companion to both Leclerc and Saint Mleux, often travelling with the couple during the F1 season.
Certainly, Leo’s appearance brought a lighter, more intimate moment — a reminder that even the most glamorous celebrity weddings still revolve around family, love, and the small details that make a day truly personal.
