Wear the colourful personality of Andy Warhol on your wrist
Piaget’s Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ is a snazzy gemstone tribute to the Pop Art visionary.

Piaget’s new Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition amplifies everything the artist embodied — eccentricity, colour, irreverence, and an instinct for turning the everyday into art — and distils it into a highly collectable wristwatch.
Inspired by his 1986 Polaroid collage self-portrait, the maison builds upon the tone and daring of the original artwork to shape this 50-piece capsule creation.
Not simply a reinterpretation, it is the most vivid exchange yet between Piaget and one of its most intriguing historical clients, who was a key figure in the glamorous Piaget Society.
Reimagining a favourite
Warhol’s fascination with watches was well-documented. By the time of his death in 1987, he had amassed more than 300 of them, including seven Piaget pieces. Among these, the cushion-shaped reference 15102 from 1973 stood out for its bold profile and unmistakable presence.
The Collage edition brings that history into the present. Its 45mm stepped silhouette is crafted entirely in yellow gold, chosen for its fidelity to Warhol’s own watch. This metal is not used in the current Andy Warhol Watch collection, which gives this creation rare status.
And the form is striking but refined, echoing both the 1970s Piaget aesthetic and Warhol’s penchant for unconventional luxury.
Piaget’s formal partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, established in 2024, allowed the maison to explore his archives first-hand. It also reinforced the historical bond between the artist and the brand.
After Warhol’s passing, four of his original Piaget watches were reacquired by the house at the 1988 Sotheby’s auction and now reside in its private collection. These pieces became essential reference points in shaping this unique edition.
Unconventionality captured
The dial is where Warhol’s voice becomes unmistakable. Instead of literal imagery from his most famous works, Piaget chose to embrace his approach to colour, layering, and abstraction.
Crafted using gemstone marquetry, the dial is assembled from thin, hand-cut pieces of black onyx, green chrysoprase, pink opal, and yellow Namibian serpentine. Each sliver is shaped and placed to create sharp, geometric forms. The result is a composition that recalls the fragmented, slightly chaotic structure of Warhol’s 1986 collage.
The black onyx base mirrors the dial of Warhol’s personal 1973 Piaget, connecting the watch not only to his artistic identity but to his private collecting life. The bright, contrasting stones echo Warhol’s instinct for strong colour juxtapositions, which shaped everything from his celebrity portraits to his commercial artwork.
Completing the aesthetic is a deep green leather strap whose tone enriches the palette without being too bold to draw attention from the dial’s vivid geometry.
Fitting tribute
Behind the expressive dial lies the in-house Piaget 501P1 automatic calibre. Slim and reliable, it offers a 40-hour power reserve and features circular Côtes de Genève decoration.
Its presence reflects Piaget’s long-standing strength in elegant, ultra-thin movement design — a discipline that has defined the brand since the mid-20th century.
Crafted in yellow gold with a vertical satin finish, the caseback carries an engraving of Warhol’s portrait, taken from the same self-portrait collage that inspired the dial. His signature is also etched beneath it, transforming the caseback into a hidden canvas for a deserving homage to one of the art world’s most powerful and memorable personalities.
