Madly Gems designs two bejewelled SG60 tributes to Singapore
One is inspired by our national landmarks; the other our unique character.

As creative as our local jewellers are, we have not yet seen a piece of fine jewellery inspired by our national icons. That is, until bespoke house Madly Gems surprised us with a radiant and sculptural take on our city’s nature-meets-urban architecture — through a privately commissioned SG60 ring.
On the Bespoke Gardens By The Bay Ring, the magnificent Supertrees are interpreted with a 4.7-carat pair of carved citrine cabochons glistening like twin suns, while a 2.6-carat emerald-cut fiery orange sunstone is symbolic of our Little Red Dot. Together, their glowing hues evoke the perpetual sunshine that bathes Singapore all year round.

Other beloved attractions are also woven into this intricate tapestry: the Singapore River, the blooms of Flower Dome, the ArtScience Museum, a junk boat, and even a mischievous orangutan and two playful otters. Lending this one-of-a-kind white and yellow gold creation an additional burst of colours are rows of custom-cut pave blue topaz, brilliant diamond accents, along with bright green, blue, and purple rhodium plating.
The second commemorative bespoke piece, named SG60 Red and White, is a rose and white gold pendant that pays homage to our nation’s journey. Beyond representing our national colours, the 0.88-carat vivid red spinel is the August birthstone channelling vitality and passion, while the luminous 0.27-carat white opal flashes a vibrant play of colours that brings to mind our multi-cultural soul.

And the good news is, this piece is currently available for sale on Madly Gems’ website. Even if you’re too late, you’re still able to commission your very own creation.
What we like is that the brand works exclusively with the finest 0.1 per cent of coloured gemstones from across the globe, and is the only Singapore-born jeweller certified by the International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA). Furthermore, it believes in ethical sourcing, boasting a transparent supply chain that enables customers to trace each piece back to its origin, be it artisanal mining or craftsmanship operations, in places like Sri Lanka, Tanzania, or Bangkok.
