Chef Beppe de Vito makes White Asparagus the Star in Il Lido At The Cliff

Seasonal menu spotlights the milder tasting variation as Sofitel Sentosa's Italian restaurant rolls out an exclusive menu from May to June.

White asparagus is the milder and more delicate version of the usual asparagus.

Italian restaurant Il Lido at the Cliff recently launched its seasonal white asparagus menu, which is available until end June. Created by chef-mentor Beppe De Vito and chef de cuisine Simone Fraternali, dishes featured include baked white asparagus with egg Milanese and spring truffles and nettle risotto with white asparagus and Hokkaido scallops.
