Resorts World Sentosa
For one night only on 12 July, Resorts World Sentosa will be throwing a ’60s-themed party featuring all-you-can-eat durians. Expect a varied line-up of durians – the likes of mao shan wang, black pearl and red prawn. Jin feng, hu lor and D13 varieties are also available in abundance. The 90-minute event – to be held in The Coliseum at the Hard Rock Hotel, from 6 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. – will also offer ngoh hiang and laksa for savouries; coconut water and Three Legs Cooling Water to wash all the richness down; as well as live getai entertainment.

Marriott
For those who prefer their durian treats arranged on a tiered set and served with coffee or tea, the Marriott Cafe’s durian high tea buffet is for you. This year creations feature mao shan wang in an assortment of durian desserts such as durian red bean pudding, durian coconut custards and a durian gateau, amongst many others. For returning fans, you’ll be pleased to find their classic durian tart back and joining this year’s offerings. If it all seems a little overwhelming, take to their local and international dishes, or their dim sum spread to cleanse your palette.

Goodwood Park Hotel
Back for their 36th year, Goodwood Park Hotel’s durian fiesta has a place in the hearts and stomachs of most durian lovers. New creations – made from the D24 variety – abound this year, in the form of a durian mont blanc tart, a D24 strawberry bliss and D24 ice cream bars in a dark chocolate, almond and cappuccino coating. Also being introduced this year is an exclusive cake, featuring four renown local flavours – coffee, pandan, gula melaka and durian. Limited to only 200 cakes, this oh-so rich cake requires a five days advance order. For an eat-all-you-can affair, head to Coffee Lounge for their ever-popular buffet with D24 durian pastries.

Shangri-La
In commemoration of our nation’s 54th birthday, The Line at Shangri-La is throwing a nostalgic celebration remembering the days – and foods – of the’80s. The Flavours of Singapore buffet will feature 16 live-cooking stations and, of course, unlimited portions of golden phoenix, hong xia and D13 durian opened to order. Not to mention, the buffet spread that comprises local favourites such as oyster omelette and bak kut teh, as well as other quintessentially Singaporean snacks, drinks and tropical fruits that will also be made available.
