Market leader Orange Clove – this year celebrating its 10th anniversary – earned its pole position in Singapore through dogged dedication to customer service and logistically-oriented teams. Case in point: For one client’s SG50-themed event, the firm went all out and recreated a 1960s-style “street”, complete with hawkers selling chicken rice and kok kok mee.
The company is so confident in its ability that it has a guarantee on delivering orders within 30 minutes of the stipulated delivery time. This is made possible thanks to two kitchens – one each in the east and west – thereby reducing the impact of high-traffic situations on its distribution network.
Since 2008, the company has been specializing in international fare with an Asian touch, as suggested by its name – the orange is a universally-loved fruit, while the clove is a spice native to Indonesia.
That isn’t to say they’re formulaic. One of Orange Clove’s strengths lies in its passion for innovation. At a recent client appreciation event, they launched two new concepts which they anticipate will become big trends here: a Donut Decorator Bar, and a Create-Your-Own Flower Bar.
With the company’s commitment to food, service, and safety (they are the first caterer to be awarded ISO 22000, the highest standard for food safety), it is no wonder that Orange Clove has bagged numerous awards, and boasts an impressive client list comprising mostly multi-national companies. Revenue posted for the last FY came to a comely S$26 million. That’s a lot to be happy about – but they know that the most important smiles are the ones belonging to their customers.
