To celebrate Singapore’s  50th anniversary, port specialist company Colheitas together with port wine producer Kopke have come up with a Colheita (single harvest tawny port) that was harvested in 1965. The 50-year-old port was bottled just this year, and was selected by Singapore-based Matthieu Delaunay, founder of Colheitas, after tasting 30 different single-cask ports from Kopke, Burmester and Barros. The Kopke Colheita 1965, cask no. 11640, is a dark amber colour with an intense aroma of dry fruits, nuts and smooth brandy and a rich complex body of candied fruits and butterscotch. Well-balanced with a tinge of acidity, the Kopke Colheita 1965 has a long and elegant finish, and comes packed in a special edition bottle and box designed for this occasion.
