As many organisations worldwide recalibrate or scale back their diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, consulting company Forvis Mazars in Singapore announced a series of senior appointments that signal its continued investment in building an inclusive leadership culture and advancing DEI, at least for gender as it advances women into senior roles.

Effective 6 October 2025, Chan Xue Pei joins Forvis Mazars as Partner, Tax, bringing over two decades of experience in international tax planning and advisory services. Her appointment is complemented by the promotion of three accomplished female leaders: Quek Siew Eng as Regional Quality and Risk Management (QRM) Leader for the Group and Asia Pacific; Cheryl Koh as Head of Quality Management; and Ellyn Tan as Head of Financial Advisory. Together, these appointments highlight the firm’s strategic intent to foster leadership diversity across its ranks.

Specialising in financial services, banking, insurance and asset management, Chan Xue Pei was recognised for her expertise in tax governance and ESG-aligned tax initiatives, including carbon tax, the OECD’s Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Pillar 2 framework and related incentive regimes. She was thus appointed to strengthen the firm’s financial services and asset management practices.

“I’m excited to join Forvis Mazars at such a pivotal moment for the tax landscape,” said Chan Xue Pei. “As global rules evolve and ESG considerations gain importance, clients are seeking clarity, purpose and strategic insight. I’m passionate about turning complexity into opportunity and supporting businesses in building resilient, future-ready tax strategies.”

Women now make up 32% of Forvis Mazars’ senior management team in Singapore, reflecting steady progress toward gender balance at leadership levels. Across the firm’s Singapore operations, women represent 62% of the total workforce, a figure that positions the firm ahead of industry averages.

“With these new appointments, we continue to build a leadership team that reflects the diverse society we serve,” said Rick Chan, Managing Partner of Forvis Mazars in Singapore and a member of the Group Governance Board. “In Singapore, we remain intentional in creating pathways for all to succeed because inclusive leadership strengthens both our culture and the quality of service we deliver to clients.”

In sustaining its DEI momentum, Forvis Mazars demonstrates that inclusion and business performance need not exist in tension. As the firm strengthens its leadership team and deepens its tax and advisory capabilities, it positions itself not only to serve clients in an increasingly complex regulatory environment, but also to model the kind of balanced leadership many organisations now risk losing sight of.
