Watch Exchange, a local luxury watch boutique that deals with pre-owned timepieces, has partnered with Geylang East Home for the Aged (GEHA) to help raise money for renovations and improvements to their infrastructure. This campaign, titled Give Time, Share Hope, aims to raise S$100,000 to improve the living conditions for its 31 seniors.

GEHA provides residential care for elderly Singaporeans who have little to no financial and family support. In addition, the organisation also runs Geylang East Senior Care Centre, a day care facility for seniors whose families are at work during the day, and the Geylang East Active Ageing Centre, a drop-in hub that offers social, recreational and wellness activities to keep seniors meaningfully engaged.

Although GEHA receives partial government funding, it continues to rely on additional donations to maintain and upgrade its facilities. The home has not undergone major renovations in nearly a decade, and several aspects of its living environment require improvement. Funds from this campaign will go toward installing new adjustable beds, adding air-conditioning to residents’ rooms, and enhancing bathroom safety. Shared living areas will also be redesigned to create a more supportive, comfortable, and dignified environment for residents.

To contribute to the Give Time, Share Hope campaign, the public is invited to donate their pre-loved luxury watches or purchase watches within this campaign. Watches with a pre-restoration market value of at least S$2,000 will be restored by Watch Exchange’s in-house service unit, Watchlab, and then sold. GEHA will receive all proceeds.

To donate watches, the public can contribute their pre-loved watches to Watch Exchange at 14 Scotts Rd, #03-132 Far East Plaza, or through its website.

“Luxury should go beyond ownership,” said Darren Yeoh, Brand Spokesperson and Sales Manager, Watch Exchange. “Restoring a watch gives it a fresh start. Through this effort, we want to give the same second chance to our elders, better comfort, better care, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.”

The Give Time, Share Hope initiative demonstrates how businesses can leverage their expertise and networks to create meaningful social impact, particularly in Singapore’s in-demand luxury watch sector. Beyond supporting a good cause, it provides watch owners and aspiring owners with a tangible way to contribute, transforming the restoration of timepieces into an effort that restores dignity, comfort, and care for seniors in need.
