While we’re currently in the era of high-protein — well, everything — you shouldn’t have to limit your brekkie to just five eggs and a heaping bowl of Greek yoghurt. Enter gourmet granola — an all-in-one breakfast champion packed with complex carbohydrates, a healthy dose of micronutrients, and that all-important fibre.
The best spots in Singapore craft breakfast in small batches regularly, sourcing sustainable, unadulterated ingredients and transforming them with natural flavours such as maple and coconut.
To start your days with breakfast fare that’s as delicious as it is virtuous, head to these 10 spots in Singapore for the best gourmet granola you can get right now.
Dearborn
Dearborn, led by ex-fine-dining chef Chris Kong, is the undoubted darling of Singapore’s gourmet granola scene. Its small-batch granola slung out of a cosy Everton kitchen has dominated the breakfast niche since the Waku Ghin alum’s graduation from his also-popular supper club, and for good reason — it’s simply scrumptious.
Head down to the original production kitchen to snag a bag off the shelf, or skip the hassle and get it weekly via their subscription plan. Flavour combinations include dark chocolate, hazelnut and sea salt, as well as strawberry and macadamia, though you should also look out for its festive and collaborative specials.

Jammy’s
No sugar, no dairy, no gluten, no guilt. That’s the name of the game for Jammy’s, a homegrown snacks brand fronted by a pair of sisters looking to kick sugar out of their diets. Its range of granolas, gummy bears, and gelato is designed from the ground up for vegan and keto diets, making them all-inclusive without compromising on taste or aroma.
Bestsellers on its granola list include a blend of pecan, cashew, and cinnamon, as well as a macadamia blend balanced with pink Himalayan sea salt and monk fruit “honey”. Just a note: Don’t expect any oats in the granola, as these are made for low-carbohydrate diets.

The Social Space
The Social Space is a cafe, nail salon, and fair-trade retail concept rolled into one along Kreta Ayer Road. Started by a husband-and-wife duo, the social enterprise champions conscious living and inclusive employment for people with disabilities, which naturally means that every smoothie bowl or open-faced sandwich helps the outfit further its mission for good.
Its housemade granola consists of everything from tahini butter and cashew nuts to pumpkin, sunflower, and white sesame seeds, and is available for purchase daily or in bulk for corporate events.

Birds of Paradise
While gourmet granolas work fine as a healthy breakfast, they’re just as good when the time calls for a little indulgence. Case in point: as a snacky topping for local gelato specialist Birds of Paradise’s range of botanical treats.
Its version features a focused blend of hazelnuts, orange zest, and coconut flakes for added texture, with aromatic layers of cinnamon and maple syrup that won’t overpower the brand’s delicately scented flavour range.

Oatberry
If the name wasn’t big enough of a hint, Oatberry is a local Singaporean brand that’s all about oats. The star of the show here — aside from the humble grain — is its gourmet granola, specifically crafted as an answer to the sugary, preservative-rich cereals crowding most supermarket shelves.
Get the original mix with rolled oats, organic coconut, sea salt, and maple syrup, or with cinnamon apple, berries, chocolates, maple pecan, or even gula melaka macadamia, if you prefer.
Note that Oatberry is only available online a la carte or as a subscription for now; it recently closed its cafe in Scotts Square, and is still working out plans for its eventual return.

Standouts in its lineup include the fibre-rich black sesame and chia granola, as well as a hard-to-find fusion of browned butter and honey with Australian oats.

The Whole Kitchen
The Whole Kitchen was founded in 2015 by two Singapore-based Australians — one a classically trained chef and the other a health and nutrition coach. The idea was simple: Create one of the best one-stop shops for healthy, nutritious snacks, bakes and cakes in Singapore — granola included.
The brand offers both the usual granola mix and a keto-friendly, oat-free version in packs ranging from 70g to a whopping 1kg sack. Though the exact specifications vary by flavour, pretty much everything in the range is made gluten-free and without a jot of refined sugar.

Atipico
While Atipico started out as a culinary studio offering private chef services and catering, it has evolved into a bakery and full-fledged dine-in cafe in the buzzy New Bahru lifestyle destination.
